Burn, baby, burn

This project is truly a culmination of my favorite things. I’ll set the scene for the perfect lounge: give me a well-behaved candle, a dry champagne in a vintage coupe, and some Billie Holiday and I’m SET. Throw in a cat or two and we could go all night.

I started pouring candles last year during quarantine. It was a hard time for so many and I was feeling truly lonely and without that spark of creativity that usually kept me going. I lost my grandmother three months into the lockdown and through that pain I flocked to projects that made me feel closer to her. She was a lover of flowers, specifically magnolia, jasmine, gardenia, and hydrangeas (those true “Southern scents”). The sense of smell is so closely linked with memory, perhaps more so than all of our other senses. A gardenia candle gives me her perfume, a magnolia scent puts me in her backyard for a family picnic. You’ll see her reflected in my work, along with several others who are a source of inspiration.

I hope you enjoy browsing through my little store. If there is a scent profile or a certain glass you’ve always wanted, drop me a note and I’ll see what I can do to make those aromatic aspirations come true.

XOXO -
